CONTACT:

Vancouver, Wash. - Thirty two paintings by Sharman Owings are currently on display in the Engineering Life Science building at Washington State University Vancouver. Thirty of the paintings on display are small-scale oil paintings. Owings painted one a day for 30 consecutive days. The subjects are portraits, landscapes and scenes painted from life. They combine a spontaneous feel, showing brush strokes and bold colors, and an attention to detail. This exhibit will run until July 18.

"My weapon of choice is oil paint though I occasionally stray into other areas. The one constant is color," said Owings about her choice of medium. Owings is a mostly self-taught artist. She lives and works in Enumclaw, Wash. Learn more about Sharman Owings at http://www.owingsbrownstudio.com and http://www.Roknob.com.
