New Email Accounts Mandatory for WSU Vancouver Students

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Washington State University Information Technology in partnership with Microsoft, is implementing a new email system for all students that will provide free lifetime email account services, available on Monday, May 4 for all WSU Vancouver students. Signing up for the new Microsoft Outlook Live email system is FREE and required.

Beginning on Monday, May 4, students will need to log on to the My WSU page to get their new account name and temporary password. Account names will be firstname.lastname@email.wsu.edu . Appropriate provisions will be made for students with the same names.

Once activated, the email account can be accessed via a web browser by visiting http://www.email.wsu.edu.

Effective May 18, WSU email communication sent to students will no longer be forwarded or sent to students non-WSU email accounts (i.e. Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo email accounts). WSU email communication to students will be sent only to new student WSU email accounts.
