Alternative Transportation Fair Opens New Routes to Student Commuters

Vancouver, Wash. - A dozen groups and organizations from around the Vancouver-Portland area will be displaying their options to students during the Alternative Transportation Fair at the non-residential commuter campus of Washington State University Vancouver, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Firstenburg Student Commons.
This event is sponsored by the New Student Reading Project Committee of the General Education Advisory Board, and held in conjunction with the required freshman reading book, "Asphalt Nation" by Jane Holtz Kay. Participants in the fair include: Associated Students of WSU Vancouver, Bicycle Alliance, City of Vancouver, Columbia River Crossing, Clark County Commute (Rideshare), C-Tran, WSU Vancouver Human-Powered Machines, Southwest Clean Air, Nursing Network, WSU Vancouver Public Safety, Portland Fit, Portland Running Company, and Eco-Motion.
