Start a project
Working with Marketing and Communications for a great result
- Start early.
- Plan to contact our office eight weeks before your event/campaign launch.
- Complete the project request form or set up 30 minutes to meet with us. Be prepared to talk about the objective of your event/campaign, your target audience, your desired marketing mix (press release, advertising, postcard, brochure, invitation, flyer, web content, etc) and budget.
- Provide us with all the background materials you have—biographies, descriptions, timelines, etc.
- Give us five days to draft content. We’ll send you content for review via email.
- Review the content thoughtfully. It will save us both time and money if the content is final when we turn it over to design. Return clear, consolidated (if more than one reviewer) feedback within three days for incorporation into the next draft.
- TIP: We suggest you make friends with the “Track Changes” and “Insert Comment” features in Microsoft Word.
- We’ll incorporate your feedback within three days and turn it back to you for review and approval. Return clear, consolidated feedback.
- We’ll incorporate your changes and give final copy to the design team. Please allow the design team five days to wrap their creativity around your campaign/event.
- We’ll send you pdf files of your creative for review and comment. Please return clear, consolidated feedback within three days.
- TIP: We suggest you make friends with the “Comment & Markup” features in Adobe.
- We will incorporate your feedback and return a second draft to you for review and approval within three days.
- NOTE: Sometimes this step will repeat depending on how much feedback we receive and how many changes are required to get the creative where we all want it to be. Remember to leave a little extra time in your schedule for multiple reviews.
- Production. We will provide you with final files. Sometimes we handle printing and/or electronic distribution. Sometimes you do. We’ll establish that during our initial meeting.
