Database Connection Issues – FIXED

The connection issues we were experiencing with some of our databases (those available through Ebsco) has been fixed.  If you encounter any problems with the following databases (or any databases for that matter), please let us know:

  • Academic Search Complete
  • America: History & Life
  • Business Source Premier
  • Cinahl
  • Historical Abstracts
  • Inspec
  • MLA Bibliography

Database Connection Issues

We are currently experiencing connection problems with several of our databases (those available through Ebsco). The company is working on fixing this problem as soon as possible. The problem includes the following databases:

Digital Asset Management – D.A.M.

Literacies for a Changing World Brown-Bag lecture

The Writing Center and Library invite you to a brown bag lunch lecture and discussion on Wednesday, January 23rd in the library. Kandy Robertson and Nicholas Schiller will present a lecture entitled “From essay to article: the long road to publication”. How the research that faculty do here on campus turns into scholarly articles that students and researchers around the world use in their studies will be discussed, as well as links between the kind of work students are asked to do and the work done by faculty.

Please join us from noon to 1 p.m. in the Library Reading Room. Coffee and Tea service will be provided.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The Library will be closed on Monday, January 21st in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Our online resources, including our website, Griffin, and databases, will be available if you need to conduct research. We will return to normal hours at 8am on Tuesday, January 22nd.

Spring Semester Hours

Starting Wednesday, Jan. 2nd, the Library’s Spring Semester hours begin. These hours are:

Spring Semester Hours (January 2 – May 2)

Monday – Thursday: 8am – 10pm
Friday: 8am – 6pm
Saturday – Sunday: 10am – 7pm

The library will be CLOSED on Jan. 21st for Martin Luther King Day and February 18th for President’s Day. We will also have limited hours during the week of Spring Break.
