Thanksgiving Break Hours

During Thanksgiving Break, the Library will be open the following hours:

Sat. 11/17 & Sun. 11/18: 10am – 7pm
Mon. 11/19: & Tue. 11/20: 9am – 8pm
Wed. 11/21: 9am – 5pm
Sat. 11/24 & Sun. 11/25: Noon – 5pm

Reference Phone Issues

Thanksgiving hours – IMPORTANT CHANGE

Please note the following changes to the library’s open hours during Thanksgiving break.

Wednesday 11/21 8-5:00pm

Thursday and Friday – Closed

Saturday 11/24 and Sunday 11/25 – Noon to 5:00pm

Please note the change to the weekend schedule.

We will resume regular hours on Monday 11/26.

Veteran's Day Closure

The Library will be closed on Monday, 11/12 for the Veterans’ Day holiday.  Our website, library databases, Griffin, Summit, ILLiad and other resources will be available.  We will reopen for normal hours on Tuesday, 11/13.

Debate 11/7

On Wednesday, Nov 7th the campus student debate team will be presenting a debate on “Has the automobile ravaged our nation? can we return to a world of human mobility?“  Inspired by this year’s New Student Reading Project, Asphalt Nation, by Jane Holz Kay, the debate is sponsored by the WSU Vancouver General Education program. Team members are Joseph Ficken and Tia Ostergren for the government team, Anna Patterson and Bryce Smith for the opposing team.

Summit Downtime

On Sunday 11/4, Summit will be unavailable due to system maintenance. We are not sure how long this maintenance will last but please be aware of this in case you need to use Summit this weekend. Griffin, the WSU Libraries catalog, will be available, as will our databases, ILLiad request system and other library resources.

Summit is a catalog that includes the collections of 33 colleges and universities in the Pacific Northwest. More information about using Summit is available on the
