About the Library

The mission of the WSU Vancouver Library is to support the research and scholarship of the students and faculty at the Vancouver campus. As part of the WSU Libraries multi-campus system, the library provides access to over 20,000 electronic resources and 125 library research databases. The WSU Vancouver Library is building a book collection in the academic areas taught at the Vancouver campus, and currently owns over 30,000 volumes. The library receives important scholarly journals in print format and maintains both a print and digital reference collection.

The Vancouver Library provides rapid access to materials we do not own from the WSU Libraries in Pullman, Spokane or Tri-Cities, as well as from libraries in the Pacific Northwest region through our membership in the Orbis Cascade Alliance. As part of the WSU Libraries, the Vancouver Library also participates in resource sharing through GWLA, the Greater Western Library Alliance.

WSU Vancouver faculty librarians provide library research assistance to our patrons from the Reference Desk, via email, and instant messaging. Librarians are also available for in-depth reference assistance, one-on-one library skills tutoring, and in-class information literacy instruction.
