Dr. Bruce Romanish
Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs
Biographical Information:
Dr. Romanish is in his eighth year as Vice Chancellor with WSU Vancouver. Previous leadership roles include Department Chair, Academic Affairs Director, and Vice-President of Minnesota's statewide faculty organization. He earned his Ed.D. from Penn State in 1980.
Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Resonsibilities:
As Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Dr. Romanish is assigned primary
responsibility for the academic mission of the university and reports
to the Chancellor. He works closely with
Directors of academic programs, provides oversight of the academic
units, guides new program and course proposals, and administers much of
the day to day operations of the campus related to academic and faculty
affairs. In addition to being responsible for faculty evaluation,
summer session, & the university's diversity agenda, he serves on the
campus Budget Council, addresses faculty concerns, and resolves student
complaints. He is the academic liaison to regional community colleges
and works closely with the Deans and other academic leaders across the
Washington State University system.
