Responsibilities:
As Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Karen is assigned the leadership for the General Education program and works closely with the faculty on Lower Division issues. Working in partnership with the Vice Chancellor, she coordinates such programs as University Scholars, Service Learning and other programs/initiatives as assigned. Karen works closely with academic units and the academic leadership of the campus in fulfilling the campus mission and in advancing the campus diversity agenda. She works directly with Student Services to assure seamless connections with academic programs and represents the Vice Chancellor as needed.
