A. Factorial ANOVA
Read the paper by Dungan, 1986 and write a two paragraph summary interpreting the three-way interaction from the ANOVA in Table 5.
B. Planned Comparisons
The cowry Cypraea caputserpentis displays considerable geographic variation in size and numerous subspecies have been proposed as well as a unique subspecies, C. caputdraconis, on Easter Island.
Using the cowry_contrast dataset and the General Linear Model set up orthogonal contrasts to test the following two hypotheses as part of an ANOVA:
H1: The Easter Island population is different from the rest
H2: The Indian Ocean populations (Cocos-Keeling Island and Perth, Australia) and different from the Pacific populations (Wake and Oahu).
Compare your results to those of a one-way, unplanned ANOVA with multiple-range tests.
