Goals:
Assignment: Analyze the following problems using MINITAB. Each file can be retrieved through the links below. For each problem check the data for the normal distribution and transform the data if needed. Conclude by discussing the biological implications of the study. Note that there is more than one sample in the first problem.
1. The size of Douglas Fir trees was measured at the WSU campus . A random sample of trees was taken at two locations, near the bridge and near the library, and circumference at breast height was measured in cm’s. Data file: Doug fir.MPJ
2. A surgeon was studying the time it takes to complete routine surgeries at a major hospital. Data was recorded in minutes. Data file: surgery.MPJ
