Deborah Palmer - Deborah has worked in the lab since 2002. She has a BS in Biology from WSU Vancouver and is currently pursuing a teaching endorsement in Math and Science. She can identify each mouse by the hair on its chinny, chin, chin.
Kara in the field

Kara McClanahan - Kara is a bat fanatic spending her summers in Eastern Washington cataching bats (and their guano) all night. Her graduate research focuses on genetic identification of prey species from bat guano samples. She is supported by a scholarship from Bat Conservation International and a grant from the Bureau of Land Management.
