4 Credits (3 lecture hours, 3 lab hours)
Prerequisites:
Chem 105 or 115 with a grade of C or better; Math 107 wiht a grade of C or better or placement into Math 140 or higher.
Covers: Acid-base, ionic, molecular, solubility, oxidation/reduction equilibria; kinetics, electrochemistry; systematic chemistry of the elements; and coordination compouds. Credit not granted for both Chem 106 and 116.
Biogeochemistry and Global Change (Earth and Environmental Sciences/Environmental Science and Regional Planning 492/592)
3 Credits (Lecture/discussion, no lab)
Prerequisites:
Chem 106 or 116 with a grade of C or better and Biology 106 (or equivalent).
Ecology (BIO 372) recommended.
