Purpose Statement:
Does the WSU (Pullman) Gateway effectively guide users to appropriate library resources and services?
Problem Statements:
- Can students figure out when the library is open?
- Can students find where to look for journal articles?
- Can students find books?
- Can students determine what journals the library owns?
- How do you find information on a subject?
- Where is the library?
- What can I do from home using the library?
- Where would you go to disover if the library has journal of ___________?
- Who is the expert librarian for psychology?
- Can someone in the library teach me how to make a web page?
- Can someone [get to the library catalog] from any page? (OR: [where you search for books and journals] )
Tasks:
- Where would you go to find out if the library has a specific journal?
- There are subject experts on the library staff. Where would you find the expert librarian for psychology?
- You want to learn how to make a web page. How can the library help you?
- Find a list of e-journals.
- Starting at the homepage- click on WSU Libraries link. From the "WSU Libraries" page go to where you would search for a specific book.
