the fourth report - due tuesday october 19th

Let’s finish out our usability studies with some non-traditional interfaces. For your fourth report, I want you to choose an information appliance which uses a visual or aural navigation system to guide you through a process, i.e. a cellphone, digital cable box, PDA, pocketPC, mp3 player, or telephone system.

Think about the following:

What is the navigation structure?
How well does it achieve its intended purpose?
Does it offer multiple options or a guided navigation?
Does it have a help system, & if so, is it useful?
What cultural cues are evident?

Use reference to Nielsen, Norman or Isaacs/Walendowski where it seems appropriate.
