USABILITY
&
INTERFACE
DESIGN

the third report - due tuesday october 5th

Now we are moving from off-screen to on-screen usability. For your third report, I want you to choose an online interactive interface, i.e. a website.
Think about the following:

What is the site for? Who is the audience?
How well does it achieve its intended purpose?
How well does the information architecture/navigation system work? How does the screen real estate break down?
What kinds of visual cues are used, e.g. color, layout, illustration, and how do they work? Levels of abstraction? Symbols/icons? Use of sequence/frame?
What cultural cues are evident?

Just to keep this interesting, I want you to do this as a four-page spread, i.e. the same format as Nielsen uses in 50 Homepages Deconstructed. You can use posterboard, string etc for layout. No macaroni, please.
