assignment three: collaborative web project - 35%

In this project you will work in small groups, collaboratively, on imagining, designing, and building a web site. We will work through this process together over the next few weeks. To begin, however, we will work mostly on the research and organization of your ideas.

Your assignment is to build a site for a client or organization on this campus. Some ideas: update a department's website, a guide to student government, a webzine about college life, an art gallery that would showcase student's work, a guide to the region for new students. Another option is to find a "client" off of campus, a small business or non-profit, that needs a site built.

Past successful projects have included a community organization, a local restaurant, an animal safety site, and a local union. Go here for examples.

• PDD (Project Definition Document) : Due October 31;
• Architecture Document : Due November 9;
• Design sample : Due November 28;
• Final Site : Due December 7.
