WSU Vancouver Student Exhibition
Wednesday, April 16, 2008 to Friday, June 06, 2008
Washington State University Vancouver students from the Introduction to Digital Media class are showcasing prints of their work in the Administration Building gallery through June 6.
For more than 10 years, students from the WSU Vancouver Fine Arts courses have mounted an end-of-year exhibition of their work. This exhibit addresses the problem of abstraction, which places the emphasis on visual fundamentals such as shape, color, texture, line, volume and the logic of composition. In the following assignment, students had free reign in both subject matter and technique. The prints will be exchanged in the gallery as the students create new work. The instructor of the class is Harrison Higgs, assistant professor of Fine Arts. Adjunct faculty Yoshi Kitai’s Print Based Media class is showing a mix of etchings and screen prints on the first floor of the Multimedia Classroom Building.
