Thanksgiving Day Blood Drive

Donate blood or platelets at the annual Thanksgiving Day Blood Drive at the Vancouver Red Cross on Thursday, November 26, 2009 and receive a free holiday pie and American Red Cross T-shirt (all while supplies last). This inspiring annual event has become a favorite with families and groups of friends who mark the start of the season of giving by helping local hospital patients in need. Donated blood is used to treat cancer patients, trauma and burn victims, premature babies, organ-transplant patients, those living with chronic blood diseases, and others. Blood and platelet donations collected at this special Thanksgiving Day event will help boost the blood supply going into the winter season, a time when blood donations typically decline.
