
2006 Do the Math-Engineering Field Day Program Impacts

Description: A half-day event for selected high schools held at WSU Vancouver; co-sponsored with MacKay & Sposito Engineering, Inc. Faculty, staff and students from WSU Vancouver, Clark College, 10 local engineering firms and 6 other agencies/organizations volunteered as short-course instructors. The event was coordinated with local high schools and districts.
Impacts: Two hundred twenty-five (225) teens from five Clark County high schools attended. Of these, 211 completed program evaluations. Twenty-two volunteer instructors and presenters provided approximately 50 hours of small group/large group instruction.
