Laurie Mercier, Ph.D.
Project Co-Director
Mercier
is Associate Professor of History at WSUV and teaches courses on
Modern America, the Pacific Northwest, Oral History, and Immigration
and Migration. She has co-directed many public history projects
that have included several web sites and the Idaho Ethnic Heritage
Project. She is the author of numerous publications about women's,
labor, and community history including the recent Anaconda: Labor,
Community, and Culture in Montana's Smelter City (University of
Illinois Press, Working Class in American History Series, 2001).
