Research Coordinator

Mario Compean was a member of the faculty at Yakima Valley Community College from 1997 to 2001, where he served as Instructor and Coordinator of Chicana/o Studies. In 2000 at Yakima Valley Community College he coordinated research for the Crewport History Project, which conducted oral history interviews with residents of the Crewport Farm Labor Camp in the Yakima Valley. Currently Mario Compean is conducting research with Mexican and other Latin American immigrants in southwestern Washington, and is engaged in graduate studies in History at Washington State University, with emphasis on the history of Mexicans and Mexican Americans in the Pacific Northwest.
