Vehicles stolen from WSU Vancouver Friday

On Friday March 5/2010 WSU Vancouver police received reports of two vehicles stolen from campus parking lots. A Subaru was reported taken from the Gray 5 parking lot between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. A Honda Civic was reported taken from the Gray 1 parking lot between 7:00 Am and 2:30 PM.

WSU Vancouver police also recovered a vehicle stolen from Portland in the Gray 5 parking lot and recovered the stolen Honda Civic in the Gray 4 parking lot at 10:00 PM.

It is likely that a person or persons unknown stole a vehicle from the Portland area and exchanged it on campus for one or both of the vehicles report stolen here on Friday. The Subaru stolen from campus was later recovered in Portland and the Honda was recovered on campus in a different parking lot.

Both operators of the vehicles stolen from WSU Vancouver reported the vehicles were parked and left unlocked.
