Civil Service
The Position Request is required for ALL Civil Services positions. For ALL positions please allow 2-3 weeks prior to your desired open date, so that the paperwork has ample time to be processed.
All Civil Service recruitments are conducted through the PeopleAdmin system. Civil Service positions require that a Job Description and Requisition (job posting) be submitted through the system.
An outline of the required data necessary for the job description module can be accessed here.
All hiring managers MUST be trained on the recruiting system; therefore, if you have not been trained on the system, please contact Human Resources to schedule training.

Faculty & Administrative Professional
Position Request - Must be completed for ALL positions; new and replacement.
Authorization to Recruit - Must be completed for ALL faculty and AP searches, new and replacement
These forms need to be submitted to Human Resources who will then route to the appropriate departments for processing. For ALL positions please allow 2-3 weeks prior to your desired open date so that the paperwork has ample time to processed.
At this time, Administrative Professional positions require a position description submitted through PeopleAdmin. Examples of all required elements of the job description module can be accessed here.

Temporary Employment
All on campus student positions will now be administered through JobX . This will allow departments more autonomy in posting, selecting, and hiring temporary employees student or non-student.
Step by step instructions on registering and posting a position are available here, and on the JobX website.
In order for the position to be posted on the HRS website and on the HRS bulletin board you will need to copy and paste the posting into either a word document or email and send to msain@vancouver.wsu.edu.
All submitted postings are reviewed before becoming active; therefore, when planning your recruitment timeline allow time for the posting to go through the appropriate channels.
