INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARKING APPEALS

Before appealing your citation, bear in mind the following:

• If your citation is older than 10 days, stop here; it cannot be appealed.
• When you became a student, or accepted a position with Washington State University, you agreed to abide by the rules and regulations of the University. The Traffic and Parking Regulations are a part of these regulations. While permit holders are guaranteed a place to park, they are not guaranteed a space nearest specific classes or place of work.
• The fact that other vehicles are parked improperly does not constitute a valid excuse.
• If an emergency or other extenuating circumstance is being used as an excuse, documented proof must be attached to your appeal.
• Not knowing the regulations is not a valid excuse.
• Your past parking record will be a factor in the Parking Appeal Committee's decision.
