Service Scholarships
Students in Service is a part-time AmeriCorps program that offers scholarships to college students who participate in community service. Participants make a difference in their communities, gain valuable civic and workforce skills, and earn an education award.
Educational Award
- 300 hours of service = $1000
- 450 hours of service = $1250
- 900 hours of service = $2362
Activities that Qualify
- Service-learning
- Non-paid, academic internships with a service-focus
- Practicum hours (such as nursing, counseling, firefighting, student teaching, etc.)
- Federal or state-funded community service work study positions
- Most community service work (such as tutoring, mentoring, stream restoration, etc.)

- View the Pre-service Orientation.
- Complete the Pre-service Reflection Questionnaire.
- Contact Nickie Davis to schedule an in-person orientation meeting.
