Program Overview

Washington State University Vancouver is a premier research university with a dynamic and growing faculty conducting research and pursuing scholarship of regional, national and international impact. WSU Vancouver faculty research activities also engage students in active inquiry into the disciplines and issues that are relevant both locally and globally, and particularly help to fuel economic growth and development in Southwest Washington.

The Office of Research and Graduate Education at WSU Vancouver works with faculty and graduate students to foster a climate of research excellence across campus, through support of faculty efforts to secure extramural funding and the WSU Vancouver Faculty Research Mini-Grant program. The Office also supports the development and expansion of graduate education and training programs, provides professional development workshops for graduate students, and partners with the Office of Student Involvement to administer the WSU Vancouver Graduate Student Travel Grant program. Finally, the Office of Research and Graduate Education actively promotes the research and scholarship at WSU Vancouver to audiences in the region, primarily by sponsoring the Annual WSU Vancouver Research Showcase. This office works closely with the WSU system-wide Office of Research, the WSU Office of Grants and Research Development, and the WSU Graduate School.
